Two separate proposals for unit complexes in well-established suburbs have been put before the Sunshine Coast Council.

Project Urban lodged an application with Sunshine Coast Council to establish a set of units at 22 Wryeema Terrace, Caloundra on behalf of About M Pty Ltd.

The site is beside the Caloundra Village Shopping Centre.

Plans show the complex would have nine units in total with five three-bedroom units and four two-bedroom units, each with its own balcony.

Each floor would encompass three units on top of ground floor parking, totalling to four storeys.

It is expected the maximum building height would reach about 13m.

The vacant 635sq m site is within a major centre zone, bordering a shopping centre to the south and other dwellings on either side.

The car park would have 12 spaces in addition to motorcycle and bicycle spaces, documents showed.

The complex was described as possessing “high-quality architectural design” to contribute to the character of the locality.

Documents stated a previous proposal for a three-storey unit complex for the site was approved in 2022.

Adams and Sparkes Town Planning lodged an application for a set of four units at a prominent residential location in Maroochydore on behalf of Timothy and Fiona Freeman.

Documents outline the plan to build a unit complex consisting of four apartments at 343 Bradman Ave, Maroochydore.

It is proposed each unit would have three bedrooms with an open-plan living kitchen and dining space alongside a private balcony.

The four units would be divided over two storeys alongside a ground parking floor, reaching about 8.5m in height.

If approved, an existing dwelling on the 607sq m site would be removed.

The site would back the Maroochydore Multi-Sports Complex and another dwelling on the eastern side.

Documents stated the proposal would generally comply with the medium-density residential zone code.
