Traffic has been brought to a standstill on the Bruce Hwy after a car burst into flames on the Sunshine Coast.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said a car towing a caravan caught fire while travelling southbound on the Bruce Highway near Roys Rd about 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
The spokesman said the fire had spread to create a small grass fire on the side of the road, with firefighters still working to extinguish the blaze at 2.20pm.
All occupants of the car were uninjured and no other cars were involved.
A police spokesman said officers were currently putting traffic diversions in place, with all Bruce Highway southbound lanes blocked.
Traffic is being diverted onto Caloundra Rd at exit 188.
More to come.
