Arrival times at Sunshine Coast Airport are the fifth worst in the country after Darwin, the Gold Coast, Launceston and Mackay.

Recent data has shown all airlines into the Sunshine Coast have a 65.9 per cent chance of arriving on time, with Jetstar ranking lowest at 56.9 per cent and QantasLink at 80 per cent.

Departure times were on time 59.7 per cent, with Jetstar at the lowest mark at 53.1 per cent.

Sunshine Coast Airport Aviation and Commercial general manager Scott Norris said his team worked closely with airlines to meet on-time performance targets.

“This includes assessing and reviewing process to identify areas of improvement,” he said.

“There are many reasons why a flight may be delayed when arriving or departing. These reasons can vary from adverse weather conditions, aviation operations including the broader airline network, and air traffic control.”

A spokeswoman for Bonza said the airline was looking at releasing this data via due course, including the data for April.
