Tewantin crash leaves one person with serious injuries

One person has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after a car and motorcycle crash in Tewantin.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Doonella St at 2.40pm Friday to reports a car and motorcycle had collided.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a rescue helicopter had arrived on scene as of 3.32pm, and one person had suffered significant leg injuries.
The person was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition, however the spokeswoman could not confirm their age or gender.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the Forensic Crash Unit had also been called to the scene.
Motorists are urged to avoid Doonella St if possible.
