Sunshine Coast breaking news: Emergency services rush to unit blaze at Nautilus Mooloolaba

A young woman and two children have been taken to hospital after a fire erupted in their Sunshine Coast unit.

A young woman and two young children were home when their unit was engulfed by flames during a fire on the Sunshine Coast overnight.

An adult woman patient in her 20s and two children were transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions with smoke inhalation following a unit fire at the Nautilus Mooloolaba on River Esplanade at 9.11pm on Tuesday night.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said three crews were on scene and the fire was mostly out by the time they arrived.

Residents and neighbours told this publication they did not see the blaze but saw firefighters and police at the scene conducting patrols at the building.

Emergency crews were also called to a motorcycle crash on the corner of Caloundra Rd and Bells Creek Arterial Rd, at 9.35pm, at Little Mountain.

One stable man patient in his 20s was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a minor head and hand injury.

Earlier Tuesday night, at Woombye, stable male patient in his 40s was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a single-vehicle crash on the corner of Nambour Connection and Garrad roads at 6.49pm.
