Sunshine Coast breaking news: Coolum Beach assault

A man in his 30s has been rushed to hospital after being punched in the head outside a Domino’s at a popular beachfront strip on the Sunshine Coast. DETAILS.

A man has been rushed to hospital after being punched in the head outside a popular takeaway food outlet overnight.

Emergency crews were called to the scene out the front of Domino’s at Coolum Beach on Friday and paramedics transported a man in his 30s at 8.26pm.

A QAS spokesman said the man suffered life threatening head injuries from the fight, on David Low Way.

He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said officers were also called to the scene of the “disturbance”.

However, she there was no assault complaint or police investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, paramedics also transported a stable male teenager to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a single-vehicle crash into a light pole on Parsons Close at 5.41am, at Pelican Waters.
