A Sunshine Coast couple can’t believe their luck after an astonishing lotto win of $3.75 million changed their lives and retirement plans forever – with the husband saying he might even buy a boat.

A Sunshine Coast couple can’t believe their luck after an astonishing lotto win of $3.75 million changed their lives and retirement plans forever – with the husband saying he might even buy a boat.

A Sunshine Beach won their new millions in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The coastal Queenslanders held one of the eight division one winning entries and said they were so excited when they discovered their good fortune, they stayed up all night talking.

“Magic,” the winning husband said.

“Thank you very much. It’s pretty unbelievable.

“I checked the other night and at first, I thought I had won $3760, then I read it again and it hit me.

“I went and showed my wife and said, ‘Can you have a look?! Am I reading this right?!’.

“I sure was. I even got her to look up the results on her phone to double-check.

“We stayed up all night, talking and talking. It’s very surreal still.

“I ended up staying awake until 2.30am and my wife stayed up until 4am.

“We’ve recently retired, so it’ll certainly change our plans up quite a bit.

“I think we’ll be doing a lot of fishing, camping and kicking back.

“I wouldn’t mind getting a boat.”
