Stockland has announced its latest addition to the growing suburb of Nirimba at Aura, with construction due to commence on 78 “Scandinavian-style” townhouses.
The new urban village will be positioned opposite the future Nirimba Village Hub which includes childcare facilities and a cafe.
Aura senior development manager Hannah Madill said the homes starting at $479,000 would be ready for buyers to move in to by late 2022.
“We’ve seen a huge rise in the popularity of our townhomes, largely driven by the desire for people to spend their weekends out and about rather than tending to their large gardens or lawns,” Ms Madill said.
“Customers are actively seeking out well-located, low-maintenance architecturally designed townhomes as a lifestyle choice.”
Ms Madill said the North Lane Terraces would be a modern take on coastal design featuring tropical landscaping and light exterior finishes.
“This is a release that will be highly sought after by local and interstate buyers alike,” she said.
Development is tracking five years ahead of schedule at Stockland’s Aura development at Caloundra South, with plans to include more than 20,000 new homes, 25 community facilities and 20 educational facilities over the next 25 years.
Aura will also have 700 hectares of conservation and park areas, 200 kilometres of cycle ways and walking paths and 10 sporting grounds in the years to come.
The release of North Lane Terraces comes after 74 blocks of land hit the market in August, with 24 lots at Nirimba’s Park Avenue and 50 at Lindeman in the suburb of Banya.
As of June 2021, Aura had 2400 homes and 6500 residents but, according to Stockland, it would grow to 15,000 residents within the next five years.
Once completed, Stockland’s Aura is expected to be home to 50,000 people.
