Paraglider suffers ‘life-threatening injuries’ after midair collision at Noosa North Shore
Two paragliders have been rescued, one in a potentially life-threatening condition, after the two had a midair collision and fell onto a cliff in bushland on the Sunshine Coast.

A paraglider has suffered significant injuries and has been flown to hospital after a collision with another paraglider on Sunday.
The two paragliders were rescued after they collided and landed on a cliffside on the Sunshine Coast.
A LifeFlight statement said the two became intertwined and fell 3om onto a sand cliff, with other paragliders landing on the beach and rushing up the cliff to help.
A woman in her 50s suffered life-threatening abdominal and back injuries but the male patient was not injured.
A Sunshine Coast Health spokeswoman said the woman was in a stable condition as of Monday morning.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a rescue helicopter had flown to the scene at Noosa North Shore after the collision about 2.25pm on Sunday.
A paramedic was winched down to check the patients and rescue them off the cliff face.
The seriously injured paraglider was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
The other paraglider was uninjured in the incident.
