Two stunning properties with absolute beachfront access to Moffat Beach are up for grabs... if you've got the cash to splash.

While the two properties can be purchased separately, at $4.9 million and $3.9 million a piece, owner Bob King said his preference was to sell them as a package, making the potential sale a cool $8.8 million.

The larger and more expensive of the two properties, 2 Cooroora St, is a well-known part of the coastline for surfers in the area, known to many as "The Governor's" for its impressive white, Mediterranean-style architecture.

The second, smaller property at 45 Beerwah Pde has access to Tooway Lake on the southern boundary and direct access to Moffat Beach on the eastern side of the property.

Mr King, who works as an engineer, purchased the larger property in 2007, and the smaller one soon after that.

"My logic for buying the two properties side by side was I wanted to control what happened," he said.

"I wanted to be the only person who had the absolute beachfront position."

While Mr King said he had made big plans for the properties, one thing got in the way.

He fell in love.

"Back (in 2007), I was single," he said.

Mr King said that after making the purchases, he married "a beautiful Indonesian woman" and now has two children, aged four and one.

The couple married on the balcony of The Governor's, which has long been a favourite spot for photo shoots.

With both his home and work life now tied up in Jakarta, Mr King said he enjoyed the properties infrequently, and had decided to put them on the market.

Mr King said he had received some interest, but was yet to secure a sale.
