AN ILLUSTRIOUS Sunshine Coast restaurant's prime waterfront site is selling for $11 million.

The two-storey site of Sails Restaurant was developed by Lyndon Simmons on freehold land in Hastings St, Noosa, two decades ago.

The site is described in Tom Offermann Real Estate's marketing campaign as Australia's only five-star absolute beachfront restaurant and as "quintessential Noosa".

"(It) is the pinnacle of freehold commercial opportunities in Noosa.
