Nothing was left to chance when it came to the design and construction of this beauty in the bush at Tanawha.
Owned by Justin and Pauline Goddard, the couple’s background in the construction industry informed the integrity of the build from the first sketch of the plans.
Ms Goddard said they considered everything from the position of the sun in every season to designing oversized bedrooms to grow with a family’s changing needs.
“We have designed the home to take advantage of natural breezes and keep everything cool in summer and warm in winter – which is something you really do get to enjoy with a concrete-filled construction,” Ms Goddard said.
“The home is elevated to feel like you’re up in the trees, particularly when you’re in the entertaining area.
“And each bedroom, two of which have ensuites, is designed to grow with families so that they’re more than just a space to sleep – you have plenty of room for private lounge areas within them too.”
Ms Goddard said the two-acre bush block was a “slice of tranquillity close to town”.
“You can’t see or hear anyone here, but you’re pretty much in the middle of town,” she said.
“We are now looking to move to a larger block and start again with more land, because when you get a taste for the privacy of a block like this, there’s no going back.”
Making the most of its near two-acre bush setting, the 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom, and 8-car home has contemporary resort-style character, all within stones’ throw to cafes, restaurants, a microbrewery, organic spa and walking tracks.
With town and tank water availability, there is three-phase power to the whole property, 9.2kw solar power, a large dam with pump to irrigation system, full perimeter fencing, secure electric gate, and sprawling manicured lawns.
Inside the connected pavilion design, new owners will enjoy the bar and billiards room, separate media room, open-plan kitchen and living and spacious bathrooms.
Ken Guy Buderim sales agent Danny Redman said the huge 160sq m mezzanine shed would be the perfect space for new owners to capitalise on to put their personal touches on the property.
“It is set to go for extended family living or home office or workshop,” Mr Redman said.
“You can have a teenagers or parents retreat or a granny flat in this space in no time.
“This property can really be moulded to change with your needs, and that’s a unique feature.”
