Victim’s boyfriend describes ‘gruesome’ stabbing attack

One of the teenagers involved in an allegedly ‘gruesome’ stabbing attack at Buddina has taken to social media to share his account of the ordeal.

ONE of the teenagers involved in an allegedly “gruesome” stabbing attack at Buddina has taken to social media to share his account of the ordeal.

About 4pm on Monday, a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy got into a fight near Kawana Shoppingworld.

A 16-year-old girl reportedly tried to intervene, but was allegedly stabbed in the throat with a box cutter by the 18-year-old man.

The 17-year-old boy, understood to be the 16-year-old’s boyfriend, took to Snapchat to outline what allegedly unfolded.

“He (the man) walked up to me, pulled that type of knife out. I seen (sic) it and stood my ground, he got close and started trying to stab me,” the boy posted.

“I was pumping him then my gf (girlfriend) tried to break it up and he did that to her. Then this guy broke it up while I had him by his jumper not letting him go uppercutting him.

“Then he finally got out of his jumped (sic) and ran off. I couldn’t do s--- because the guy who broke it up had a hold of me.

“I had to make sure my gf was okay.

“Anyway the cops (police) said I’m lucky my nose isn’t slit because apparently he swung it at my nose and it just missed… because I was dodging the knife.”

The alleged attacker remains at large some 20 hours after the incident and police have urged him to come forward.

In a second social media post, the victim described his girlfriend as one of the “toughest chicks” he knew.

“Always gonna (sic) be here by your side babe, threw (sic) everything u (sic) are my everything. Thank u (sic) much babe for everything u (sic) do for me. You are actually an amazing girl, love u (sic) baby,” he wrote.
