Troy Darren Churchward charged with indecent treatment offences
A lawyer for a Sunshine Coast school teacher accused of child abuse has asked for an adjournment as he waits for more material to come to light.

A school teacher living on the Sunshine Coast must wait for his law firm to receive more material after he was charged with child abuse offences.
Troy Darren Churchward has been charged with three counts of indecent treatment of a child under the age of 16.
Defence lawyer Nicholas Tobin appeared on behalf of Mr Churchward in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on February 17, and asked for an adjournment to receive further disclosure of material after a brief of evidence was first received.
Court documents list Mr Churchward as a schoolteacher living in Warana.
The first two charges allegedly occurred in Glenview on an unknown date between February 1 and June 23, 2024.
The second charge allegedly occurred in Nambour on a date between November 1, 2023 and January 31, 2024, documents show.
Mr Churchward first received bail on July 7, 2024.
Magistrate Chris Callaghan adjourned the matter to March 31.
