Sienna Gazelle Ridgeway drink drives in Noosa Heads

A magistrate has told an Instagram influencer and model there was no ‘grey area’ for her drink driving reading after she was busted by police in Noosa Heads.

An Instagram influencer and model who was busted almost three times the limit has been told by an infuriated magistrate she knew she was driving drunk.

Sienna Gazelle Ridgeway returned a positive result for alcohol roadside after she was intercepted along Sunshine Beach Rd in Noosa Heads on December 4.

Noosa Magistrates Court was told the 21-year-old Doonan woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.137 per cent.

The 21-year-old currently has more than 5000 Instagram followers and works as a model according to her online management profile.

Ridgeway represented herself and said she didn’t want a criminal record.

Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist said if Ridgeway didn’t want a conviction recorded she shouldn’t take the chance to drive after drinking.

“You knew you were over, there’s no grey area in that reading of 0.137,” he said.

“With all the advertising, social media and government programs about the issues around drink and drug driving, nothing is deterring you, nothing.

“It’s infuriating.”

Ridgeway pleaded guilty to drink driving and was fined $700 and disqualified from driving for four months.

No conviction was recorded.
