Samantha Lynch pleads guilty to supplying marijuana after police search designer bag
The search of a Louis Vuitton bag during a police raid on a Sunshine Coast home has revealed a teenager’s side hustle where she discussed selling drugs on an encrypted application.

A Bli Bli teenager has had a secret drug deal uncovered by police in her designer Louis Vuitton bag following a search warrant.
Officers raided a Mount Coolum home on July 26 with the warrant in the name of another person and spoke to Samantha Leah Lynch, however, she became the centre of another investigation.
The Maroochydore Magistrates Court was told on Friday that police asked the 18-year-old if she had anything to declare.
She replied the only items in the house that were hers was a designer bag in a bedroom.
Police prosecutor James Allen said inside the white handbag, eight clip seal bags containing different amounts of marijuana were found, totalling 52g or almost two ounces.
Lynch told police she has a script for medicinal cannabis and usually weighs the drugs out for her own use.
Mr Allen said two tablets were also found along with an iPhone, which was scoured by police after she provided the code. This uncovered a drug deal through the encrypted application Telegram.
Messages were found discussing a drug deal and pick up on July 23.
The police prosecutor read out some of the messages that included Lynch saying “how much bud do you need” to which someone replied “just a Q dude”.
“Birtinya area near the hospital … 120 dropped … I’m in Coolum … yeah got 130 … perfect I’m grabbing my bags,” Mr Allen retold from the messages.
Mr Allen said there were talks of meeting on a street corner, with Mr Allen continuing to read the texts between the two, which stated “I hope you enjoyed … good smoke ... usually have new strains but need to get rid of some Silver Haze before reload”.
When speaking to officers she said she “only gave it to friends sometimes”.
Duty lawyer Breanna Bowtell said Lynch had been medicating for some mental health diagnoses and was struggling financially at the time. She has since left the Mount Coolum home where the drug raid occurred.
The Bli Bli teen pleaded guilty to five charges including three counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one of supplying dangerous drugs.
Magistrate Rod Madsen took into account Lynch’s lack of criminal history and age and sentenced her to 12 months’ probation.
No conviction was recorded.
