A Sunshine Coast soon-to-be mum entered pleas to a string of charges with a desperate hope to be freed from custody in time to give birth to her child.

Madison Kate-Lee Collins appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on video link from custody on July 17 to plead guilty to 17 charges including entering premises and committing an offence.

Collins said she was 39 weeks pregnant with her baby, due to be born in a week, and told the court she was hoping to be released beforehand.

Collins then entered guilty pleas to all 17 offences and magistrate Rod Madsen said her sentencing would not take place today.

He informed her the earliest available date was September 10.

Mr Madsen said they will “hope she has the baby” soon so she can be sentenced and released from custody as soon as possible.
