Dramatic footage has emerged after police tracked a stolen Land Rover from Noosa into the Sunshine Coast, ending with the arrests of four boys on the Bruce Hwy.

A police pursuit across the Sunshine Coast ended with four boys arrested for allegedly stealing a Land Rover from a Noosa Heads driveway.
Sunshine Coast Child Protection Unit detectives have charged four teenage boys with the unlawful use of a motor vehicle following a dramatic police pursuit on Sunday afternoon.

Police were first alerted to a stolen Land Rover Discovery travelling north on the Bruce Hwy near Caboolture about 4.30pm.

Officers tracked the vehicle as it moved along the Sunshine Mwy, with aerial support provided by Polair.

Three of the boys exited the vehicle in Noosaville and were arrested by police on Lionel Donovan Dr.

The car then continued south on the Bruce Hwy before officers deployed a tyre deflation device near Forest Glen.

Despite the device damaging the vehicle’s tyres, the Land Rover continued toward Chevallum.

The alleged driver, a teenage boy, exited the vehicle and tried to flee on foot but was immediately arrested about 6pm.

Police allege the Land Rover was stolen from the driveway of a Noosa Heads property in the early hours of February 16.

A 17-year-old Margate boy faces multiple charges including two counts of stealing and one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property, driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence, and unlawful use of motor vehicle.

He has been denied police bail and was due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today, February 17.

The other three boys, a 12-year-old, 15-year-old, and 16-year-old, have each been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

They have been dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

A police investigation is ongoing.
