Imbil car crash: Driver flees, passenger in Sunshine Coast hospital

Police are searching for a driver who fled a crash north of the Sunshine Coast that left two passengers in hospital.

Police are continuing the hunt for a driver who fled a crash north of the Sunshine Coast that left a passenger in a serious condition.

Emergency services were called to single-vehicle crash on Kandanga Imbil Rd, in Imbil, about 10pm on Tuesday, September 5.

The car had left the road and landed down a small embankment.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said two passengers of the black Nissan Patrol were taken to hospital and the driver was not at the scene.

An 18-year-old man was taken in a serious condition to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with abdominal and head injuries.

Another man was taken in a stable condition to the Gympie Hospital.

A police investigation continues.
