Emergency crews were called to the Sunshine Mwy in Coolum Beach, about 2.30pm today, after reports of a four-vehicle crash.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said three cars and a truck were involved and the north and south lanes were blocked.

He said police were on their way to the crash.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said four people were being looked over.

She said one elderly woman would be transported to hospital, along with a man in his 40s with a head injury.

The other two would not require transport, she said.

More to come.
