A manhunt is under way for three men after they allegedly stole a car while armed with hammers from a Coolum Beach business before dumping another stolen vehicle.

Police say three men brandished hammers at a woman at a Focal Ave business about 2.40am on Tuesday morning, July 26, 2022, and made off with a 2016 white Kia Cerato and a phone.

A white Honda station wagon or SUV was seen to travel behind the trio as they left in the stolen Kia.

Officers were called to the armed robbery, but no injuries were reported.

A stolen Honda was dumped along Yandina Coolum Rd and the three men are alleged to have made off in the Kia.

It’s understood the Honda had been taken from Hervey Bay on Saturday, July 23, 2022 and was linked to other offences on the Fraser Coast.

Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for the stolen Kia as investigations continue into the armed robbery.
