Chevallum crash: Two people taken to Sunshine Coast hospital in serious condition

Critical care paramedics were called to the scene of a serious crash on the Sunshine Coast in which two people were rushed to hospital.

Two people were rushed to hospital in serious conditions following a crash on the Sunshine Coast overnight.

Paramedics, including critical care officers, were called to Chevallum School Rd, in Chevallum, at 12.08am after a vehicle crashed into a tree.

They transported two patients, a man and a woman, aged in their 20s to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in serious but stable conditions.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said two fire crews went to the scene and did a search of the area following the crash.

It is understood two police crews were called to the site and investigations are ongoing.

The hospital has been contacted for an update on the patients’ conditions.

Police are also investigating another crash at Bli Bli, on Lefoes Rd, where another car crashed into a tree just before 9pm.

Two police crews attended.

An ambulance service spokesman said paramedics were called to the crash but no one was there when they arrived.

Police investigations continue.
