Chef Angus Harry charged with trafficking LSD, MDMA by police

A Sunshine Coast man who works at a ritzy Hastings St restaurant has been charged by police, accused of trafficking drugs including LSD and MDMA.

A chef who works at a high-end restaurant along Noosa’s glitter strip has been accused of dealing and supplying psychedelics and party drugs.

Angus Peter Harry was charged by Coolum Police on September 4 with 52 offences accusing him of selling drugs over an almost four-month period this year.

Court documents state the 27-year-old allegedly supplied tetrahydrocannabinol and LSD 16 times each, MDMA 14 times and cannabis twice.

Police further allege he trafficked LSD, tetrahydrocannabinol and MDMA between April 23 and August 12.

It’s further alleged he was found with a digital device used in connection with supplying drugs.

Harry appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court this week where he was represented by defence lawyer Rose Killip.

Ms Killip asked Magistrate Chris Callaghan to order a brief of evidence for the charges.

She also asked for his bail to be varied.

Harry told the court he was a chef at a restaurant along Hastings St at Noosa Heads and needed to remove his Friday reporting to police condition to suit his work needs.

Mr Callaghan allowed the variation and adjourned the Nambour man’s matters to February 3 next year.

The 27-year-old left the court on bail.
