OPINION:

HELL hath no fury like a woman who was woken at 3am by her sleep-talking partner.

I’m no stranger to entertaining conversations with someone who’s dead asleep, but when they’re dreaming about playing video games things tend to cross a line.

Yesterday morning I was woken by my partner rolling over and telling me to “hurry up and die you f--- head”.

You can imagine my shock.

“What!?” I said, pushing him to wake him from his (aggressive) slumber.

SCREAMS OF PAIN AS WOMAN TRAPPED IN CAR ON BUSY COAST ROAD

I’m not sure if he was actually awake when he replied, but he assured me it wasn’t me he was wishing dead, but “that other guy over there”.

“That other guy” could only be a character in whatever game he was playing before he fell asleep.

If there’s any gamer girlfriends out there, you’ll feel my pain.

Not only do we hear them yelling at the screen while we’re trying to fall asleep, but we’re also yelled at as whatever online fight plays out in their dreams.

This isn’t the first time my partner has verbally abused me in his sleep and probably won’t be the last.

I know none of it’s directed at me, and he’s certainly trying to make up for his unconscious error.

But I sure would like to destroy his gaming consoles so I could get a peaceful night’s sleep.
