Fantastic tides on the way with the full moon approaching.

This should really fire up the smaller trevally and queenfish.

The Maroochy, Noosa, Mooloolah and Pumicestone Passage are all reporting a few fish, not big in size but they are in okay numbers.

These fish love good movement in the tide and the first few hours of the run in tide seems to be the prime bite opportunity.

Don nailed this monster Spanish mackerel trolling a whole rigged gar at around six knots

Keep an eye out for any surface action or even birds chasing the bait fish.

Then make casts into these areas.

Surface lures like poppers and stickbaits have been working along with metal slugs but make sure your slugs are only small to resemble the bait fish they are feeding on and the five-inch soft plastics.

Mixed in with these fish have been a few nice tailor and they too will be hunting down the bait schools and can be caught using the same methods.

Bream will also love the building moon and should be around in good numbers.

Any of the structure will hold fish along with the deeper holes and gravel or rubbly bottom. Bli Bli to the Motorway Bridge has been a good area along with Mid Noosa River and Currimundi lakes.

For bait you can't go past fresh strip bait along with prawns.

Those looking at fishing the open beaches the bream have been pretty good, around the bottom of the tide and then the first hour or two of the push in.

Mudjimba, Yaroomba, Sunshine and Kawana all producing a few fish.

Mixed in with them has been dart, whiting with a handful of tailor being caught on whole pilchards fished on gang hook rig.

I'd throw a few crab pots if heading out.

There have been some quality blue swimmers off Bribie and the mouth of the Maroochy with a couple of muddies up a bit further in the rivers and creeks.

A reminder to offshore anglers that the sapper and pearl perch closure is still in force.
