TONY Abbott leaves parliament with a lifetime pension of approximately $330,000 per year.

To quote Scott Morrison, "How good is that?”. Now that's the true meaning of parliamentary privilege.

Think of that next time those we employ in government claim to have our best interests at heart and are in touch with the lives of their fellow Australians.

Next time our aged and disabled pensioners or Newstart recipients have a whinge about how tough it is to pay the bills, spare a thought for our parliamentary retirees.

Hmmmm. I wonder what else could be done with all that cash spent on the pensions and perks of departing parliamentarians.
