OPINION:
WHAT is with these vegan activists?
Storming a steakhouse in Melbourne's CBD with their megaphones and 'I'm a vegan' shirts on, screaming at red meat-eating restaurant goers.
Get a life.
Have a think about when you were growing up.
You were young, naive, a child, probably enjoyed the simple things and I'm guessing, probably ate meat.
Did you dream all those years ago of swanning about telling everybody what a legend you are for enjoying a diet devoid of any flavour? Did you ever imagine you'd have the word vegan tattooed on your arm?
Was it your childhood dream to try and enforce your beliefs and behaviours on others?
To shame, humiliate or guilt them into taking up your way of life? Sounds like religion.
I saw a guy the other day walking around with a shirt which had emblazoned across the front, 'I'm vegan'.
Congratulations, champion.
I'm hairy. But I don't feel the need to tell every passing stranger.
I'm also right-handed, but I don't go into the left-handed section of a golf shop and start berating people.
I accept that everyone is different and move on with my life.
