Self-serving attitude should truly terrify us

If this doesn't scare the heck out of you I don't know what will and please be mindful these are just the ones caught.

RE Sergeant (Shane) Panoho's concerns about two drink drivers being six times over the drink driving limit (Daily, February 25).

The paper again parades the list of drivers caught either drink or drug affected, and here we have four drivers caught for various results as follows: 0.143, 0.146, 0,178, 0.243.

If this doesn't scare the heck out of you I don't know what will and please be mindful these are just the ones caught. It just goes to show that drivers couldn't care less about themselves or other people.

These irresponsible idiots are potential murderers and maimers with the self-serving attitude of ignorance, they are also cowards.

When you are next driving, stop and look around you, they could be behind you, at the side or heaven forbid coming the other way toward you or approaching the pedestrian crossing where your child or elderly parent is crossing.

They'll give you every excuse for driving while impaired, they will even have their children in their cars because it comes down to these facts. 1. They don't care, and 2. They are so self-entitled they think it's their right.

This alone shows their ignorant self-serving attitude that so worries Sgt Panoho and should terrify the rest of us.
