THE power of the pen in the public arena is a responsibility which must never be abused.

Cheap political shots, which validate violence and gratuitous abuse don't serve our community or our country.

Our youth need us, the people with power, to lead by example.

We must lead with integrity, inspiration and intelligence.

You may have reached a record for the number of hits on your website but you have lost the respect of many in your immediate community and around the world.

Please think more broadly about the ramifications of the misuse of the power of your position in the future.
