REGARDING Michael Henderson's letter 'Election disaster (Daily, May 24).

What disaster is he referring to?

The huge majority of voters at the federal election did what former shadow treasurer Chris Bowen told us to do - "if you don't like our policies then don't vote for us”.

That is what Australia thankfully did.

Perhaps it is Michael who is way out of touch with mainstream Australia and not the overwhelming majority of Australians.
