Answers are obvious in complaints over growing Coast

Flight paths should be about air safety not the people who bought their home knowing it was near an airport.

THE popularity of the Sunshine Coast presents many challenges.

We ask why this infrastructure was not provided sooner than later?

If you, like me, love to read the Sunshine Coast Daily of a morning the answer is obvious.

Before anything can be done the cost of business cases, consultants, community consultation and impact studies, community opposition about everything is almost the same as the cost of the proposed infrastructure.

We chose to buy four doors down from Nicklin Way 30 years ago, and we could not have known how busy this road would get but we have no complaints, as it needed extra lanes.

We are parked out when something is on at Kawana Sports precinct, but no complaints from us as the community needed these facilities and we are glad to have them on our doorstep.

What I find is a bit rich is the Mudjimba Residents group wanting compensation for the expansion of the airport.

This has been the major airport in the region for 55 years.

The demand to know the flight path means more consultation costs and delivery date pushed back for us, the travellers.

Flight paths should be about air safety not the people who bought their home knowing it was near an airport.
