A commercial development in Pelican Waters promising a culinary and boutique shopping experience will finally open to the public next week.

Dockside Village at Pelican Waters will celebrate its official opening on July 3 at 10am with various shops and services to peruse.

The project has been delivered by Flux Property, spearheaded by Ben Sutcliffe.

Mr Sutcliffe previously said the development spanning across 3430sqm is worth just under $10m.

The new brand W’Gusto IGA operated by Greg and Lecinda Weiss are the main tenant of the block, offering a range of gourmet foods and local products.

Other tenants taking up business on the new site will be Celebrations Liquor, DIY Dog Wash and restaurant Sushi Ari.

A Flux Property release stated “more boutique shops and restaurants” have taken up tenancy at the shopping hub.

Mr Sutcliffe noted the eco-friendly solar power system implemented into the site and the convenient boardwalk access from the Pelican Waters Marina.

W’Gusto IGA will feature an onsite butcher, a salumi bar offering cold meats, award-winning coffees, ice cream scoops and a massive selection of more than 500 types of cheese.

“We are excited to bring W’Gusto IGA to Pelican Waters and share our passion for quality, service, and community with our neighbours and visitors,” Mr Weiss said.

“Our goal is to make shopping a delightful experience for everyone who walks through our doors.”

He labelled Dockside Village as a “standout destination” for its combination of natural beauty and mix of retail, dining and leisure offerings.

“Additionally, the emphasis on sustainability and community engagement sets the precinct apart, as it not only offers a diverse range of shops and restaurants but also hosts events and activities that foster a sense of belonging among residents and visitors.”
