A young male motorcyclist has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after he was involved in a motorbike and car crash in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

Paramedics rushed to help the man in his 20s after the two vehicles collided along Obi Obi Rd near George Wyer Scenic Dr about 11.40am on Monday October 17, 2022.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the rider had “significant” arm and leg injuries.

The spokeswoman said a rescue helicopter met crews at Mapleton State School with critical care paramedics assisting.

She said the rider was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.
