A pair of current and future Wallabies stars have spent time helping the next generation of rugby talents to hone their craft.
Tate McDermott and Fraser McReight joined Maroochydore Rugby Union Club juniors on Wednesday afternoon for a special skills clinic.
The dynamic duo joined the under-14 and under-15 squads for some specialised training.
The two teams had been due to go on tour last year, to Melbourne and New Zealand respectively, having raised funds for their trips, before coronavirus scuppered those plans.
A Gold Coast theme park trip was undertaken instead, and then the coaching clinic was put on as an extra treat for the youngsters.
Club secretary Melissa West said they hoped to make the clinics a more regular event.
She said the club was taking expressions of interest for registration in the under-14 and under-15 age groups, while registrations were also open in other ages.
She said several rugby league players had come across since the pandemic caused disruptions to other football codes in 2020.
Ms West said junior numbers had increased for the last couple of years.
