AN RV home park similar to RV Homebase at Maryborough has been mooted for the property hot spot of Bli Bli.

Developers quietly announced the proposal during a tour for business leaders, council representatives and the media of the burgeoning locality.

The RV park and residential allotments are proposed for a site on Yandina-Bli Bli Rd, opposite the Parklakes Dve roundabout and entrance to Parklakes I.

The land has been included in the urban footprint in the draft amendments to the South-East Queensland Regional Plan which are open for public submissions until Friday, March 3.

Parklakes II director Robert Flipp said a contract had been signed on the property with a view to developing the proposed park and residential sites.

However, a formal application is yet to be made to the Sunshine Coast Council.

The development would be a collaboration between Mr Flipp, Shadforths Civil Contractors founder Peter Shadforth, and RV Homebase general manager Sam Williams.

"We're pretty proud of what we've accomplised up in Maryborough and we're looking at doing the same thing here," Mr Williams said.

The developers' vision is for an RV homebase park comprising permanent homes, each with an 19m garage capable of housing and RV, and general house sites similar to those already developed in Parklakes I and II.

With only about 70 elevated blocks left to sell in the 440-allotment Parklakes II, Mr Flipp has been keen to get his hands on more level land for development. He has also acquired a block adjacent to Parklakes II on Yandina-Bli Bli Rd with a view to subdividing it into 100 allotments.

Bli Bli was recently named in Money Magazine and on the Today Show as one of the state's leading property hotspots.

Other developments under way in the area include the Halcyon Lakeside over 50s village, which will comprise 231 homes when completed and follows the success of Halcyon Landing, a 171 home over 50s development near the centre of Bli Bli.
