Man suffers significant facial injuries on New Year’s Eve

A man has suffered “significant” injuries after he was hit by a car on the Sunshine Coast.

The man was walking along David Low Way, Sunrise Beach, about 8pm on New Year’s Eve when he was hit by a car.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man was treated for “significant’ facial and pelvic injuries, but could not provide details as to the cause of the incident.

The man was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
