Man in hospital after motorcycle crashes into car in Sunshine Coast

A young man was taken to hospital with head injuries after a motorbike crash on the Sunshine Coast overnight.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after crashing his motorbike into a car in the Sunshine Coast last night.

Paramedics were called to the scene on Aerodrome Road, Maroochydore about 9.30pm after reports of a motorcycle and car crash.

A Queensland Ambulance Spokeswoman said the man suffered head and facial injuries as well as cuts to his arms and legs.

He was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital about 10.15pm in a stable condition.

The driver of the car suffered no injuries, and there was no indication of speeding involved.

Roads were closed while Emergency services assessed the scene, with traffic resuming by about 10.20pm.
