A glamorous 21-year-old Noosa woman and trusted employee has admitted to stealing money from her workplace across a series of months last year.
Makayla Kate Matt-West entered a guilty plea to stealing from her workplace, the Bank of Queensland, at Noosa Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 2.
Her lawyer, Bernard Bradley, told the court Matt-West was waiting outside court in the cold because she was ‘sick’.
He told the court she had entered a guilty plea to 12 charges of stealing by clerks and one charge of using a work computer to steal.
Matt-West worked as a bank clerk at the Bank of Queensland in Noosaville.
Police will allege from May 23 last year to July 28, 2023, she stole money from BOQ Noosaville on 12 separate occasions by using her access to the system via a work computer as a trusted and paid employee.
The court heard she had a quantum of $1400 and was on bail for the charges.
Her matters were adjourned to Friday July 26.
