The North Brisbane Polo Bears flexed their muscles to see off the semifinal challenge of Sunshine Coast and reach the Queensland Premier League women’s water polo grand final.

They will face UQ Barracudas in the decider after they ended the hopes of Merlo Mermaids in a topsy-turvy final four clash.

The grand final will be played on Sunday, November 27.

In the men’s division, UQ Barras surged away in the final quarter to down River City and become the first team to reach the grand final. The Barras took the second half 7-3 after the scores were locked at 5-5 at halftime.

They will face Carina Warriors in the decider after they held off Brisbane Vikings to win 10-6.
