A 39-year-old Ilkley woman, linked to a recent major drug raid in the Sunshine Coast, has fronted court.

Jodie Leanne Herrmann is the latest person involved in a major drug bust on an Ilkley property to front court, after police allegedly uncovered $60,000 in cash, a large amount of meth, other drug related items and stolen property.

Herrmann pleaded guilty in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Tuesday to three charges, including possessing medication without a prescription, possessing drugs utensils and possessing dangerous drugs.

Police had previously told the Sunshine Coast Daily Herrmann and 51-year-old Bradley Ernest Harvey were arrested during the raid.

The court heard police searched Herrmann’s Ilkley home on July 20, 2022, where they found a used bong, 1g of marijuana mixed with tobacco and prescription antipsychotic medication.

Police prosecutor David Hoffman said two mobile phones and other prescription tablets in a silver sleeve were also found.

However, Herrmann could not give police a prescription.

Duty lawyer Kylie Anderson said the medication found was for Herrmann’s paranoid schizophrenia, while the marijuana was to combat her chronic neck and back pain.

She said after not being able to find the prescription for the medicines, she provided police with a contact for her doctor to verify the medicine was prescribed.

“She had nothing to hide,” Ms Anderson said.

Magistrate Matthew McLaughlin said the fact Herrmann had antipsychotic medication without a physical script was “a worry”.

She was fined $300 for the offences.

A conviction was not recorded.
