IF you thought property prices were expensive on the Sunshine Coast, you had better think again.
CoreLogic has just printed its latest list of Australia's top 25 most-expensive suburbs and Queensland, let alone the Sunshine Coast, isn't even on the list.
But the number of places making the million dollar list have increased.
And one Sunshine Coast suburb has cracked the lucrative list.
Sunshine Beach is the only Sunshine Coast suburb listed in the latest data of $1 million median value suburbs.
Based on suburb median values as at June 2016, CoreLogic recorded 613 suburbs across the country that had a median value of at least $1million.
To be included in the analysis, the suburbs had to have at least 100 applicable valuation observations.
The number of suburbs in the rich list has increased by 125% over the past three years.
While the most growth has occurred in Sydney, property prices were also on the rise in Queensland.
The number of Queensland million dollar suburbs had increased to 18, from 15 in 2015.
Most of these, which were listed in the Courier Mail, were around Brisbane, although Surfers Paradise and Mermaid Beach were in there.
However, Sydney's prime waterfront properties were in a league of their own, fetching prices in excess of $6 million.
