Delicious 100 2022: Sunshine Coast eateries star in state’s best restaurant list

Several new Sunshine Coast dining staples have rocketed into the delicious. 100 rankings for Queensland’s best restaurants of 2022. Check them out here.

A feast of newly opened Sunshine Coast restaurants has shaken up this year’s delicious. 100, named among the best eateries in the state.

The coveted list of Queensland’s most delicious restaurants has revealed its top 51-100 venues, with a smorgasbord of Coast newcomers making the cut, alongside old favourites.

Appearing for the first time on the list, which has taken a two-year hiatus because of Covid, is Noosaville’s freshly opened Mexican, Bandita, Tewantin’s Lucio’s Marina, Humble on Duke in Sunshine Beach and Bocca at Bokarina.

“The food scene on the Sunshine Coast is really starting to come alive in 2022,” said Queensland delicious. 100 editor Anooska Tucker-Evans.

“Southern restaurateurs such as Melburnian Jason Jones at Bandita and Sydney’s Galletto family behind Lucio’s are realising what the region has to offer and they want to be part of it, while local operators including Tony Kelly at Bocca are committed to building upon the burgeoning industry.”

The movement from interstate players has also seen established venues up their game, with a host of old favourites making the list, including Sails, Season and Noosa Waterfront.

“There really has been no better time than now to eat out on the Sunshine Coast with a plethora of top notch venues serving up everything from tacos and tequila to seafood and sauvignon blanc,” said Ms Tucker-Evans.
