Many Sunshine Coast music lovers were left disappointed on Thursday morning after tickets for the highly anticipated 2021 Red Hot Summer Tour sold out within hours of going on sale.
This prompted organisers of the premier live music event at Bribie Island’s Sandstone Point Hotel to quickly announce a second show.
The Bribie Island show is the quickest sold out event in the Red Hot Summer Tour’s 10-year history.

The 2021 event features an all Aussie line-up including Jimmy Barnes, Hoodoo Gurus, Jon Stevens, Diesel, Vika & Linda and Chris Cheney from the Living End.
Promoter Duane McDonald said the return of the festival was the result of hard work to ensure it could be held in a COVID-safe way.
He said they were proud to continue to support Australia’s music scene.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to hit the road in 2021 bringing some great music
experiences that the tour has been sharing with audiences for over a decade,” Mr McDonald said.
“Bringing together our mates in the music industry and taking the tour around Australia has always been special, but next year’s run is going to mean a lot to everyone.
“We look forward to making new musical memories for the next decade and can’t wait to see all the music lovers who have supported us over the years at one of the shows in 2021.”
The sold-out show will be held on Saturday May 1 and the follow-up show is Saturday, May 8.
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.
