A BOOMING Sunshine Coast community is now the home to hundreds of families.

Andrew Walker and his partner, Taize, were the 300th residents that called Palmview's Harmony development home.

They decided to move north from Caloundra and take advantage of the development's central location to the Sunshine Coast's best attractions

Mr Walker had been selling homes in the area and was attracted to the "friendly and social” community.

"I chose Harmony because of the great sense of pride in the community,” Mr Walker said.

"All the clients that I met who were buying at Harmony were friendly and social and I knew that it was a community I wanted to be part of.”

AVID Property Group is placing an emphasis on community and connection and expect to house more than 500 families by June.

The development recently hosted its third Long Table Dinner - the first for 2019 - where they welcomed new residents into the community and provided a platform for residents to meet and connect with their new neighbours.

Mr Walker built a four-bedroom entertainer's delight with Coral Homes on their 375sqm block of land.

"I designed this home with a family in mind, so there are three separate living areas where children and guests can each have their own space and a pool which we use all the time,” he said.

"My partner and I like to entertain at home, we are always having family and friends over for dinner parties or barbecues and the Harmony community is such a great neighbourhood for that.”

AVID Property Group general manager Queensland Bruce Harper said the community was truly coming to life as more residents moved in.

"It's crucial to a create a sense of place and community within a new development, which is why engagement is so important right from the early stages of the project,” he said.

"Creating a sense of place in new developments is essential for residents to feel connected to the area and actively participate in the community.

"There's a lot to love about Harmony, but the fact that our community has been designed to cater for people and families of all ages is hugely attractive to buyers.

"A development is more than just streets, houses and parks, it's a community of people.”

New buyers are eligible for a $7000 Visa Gift Card when they purchase selected blocks at Harmony development.
