A Bokarina man was denied bail after allegedly refusing to leave bars in Noosa and threatening to shoot a manager twice and throwing an orange traffic cone her way.

Benjamin Tynan Drake-Brockman, 36, is yet to enter pleas for his 10 charges including five counts of breaching bail, two counts of public nuisance, two counts of failing to leave a licensed premises and one count of threats.

Police prosecutor Mark Burrell said bail was opposed due to the unacceptable risk he could commit further offences or fail to appear.

Police claim Mr Drake-Brockman was at the Cornerstone Pub and Kitchen in Noosa Heads on May 31, 2022, at 5pm.

The bar manager asked Mr Drake-Brockman to leave and told him he had been banned from the premises and was not welcome.

Mr Drake-Brockman left and went to Nomads Backpackers at 7pm where he was asked to leave due to his drunken state.

He went back to the Cornerstone Pub and was asked to leave again but this time he allegedly refused.

The bar manager advised Mr Drake-Brockman if he refused to leave then she would call police.

He allegedly formed a gun gesture and pretended to shoot at her head.

While she walked away to call police, Mr Drake-Brockman left and tried to enter KB’s nightclub, attached to Nomads at 9.50pm.

He was refused entry and asked to leave before allegedly yelling threats such as, “I am a true psychotic”, “I am a Hells Angels bikie” and “it’s not a good idea to deny a Hells Angel”.

The threats could be heard by members of the public and the security guards who were standing nearby.

Police claim that soon after, Mr Drake-Brockman went up to the security and began to banter with them saying, “I know I can’t come in I’m just here to piss you off”.

Mr Drake-Brockman then circled back to the Cornerstone Pub and was told to leave before allegedly throwing an orange traffic cone at the bar manager.

It was alleged he started yelling abuse towards the manager which made her fearful and allegedly formed a gun shooting gesture once again stating, “Call the cops, get shot”.

The 36-year-old ran out of the venue while deliberately knocking over a bar stool on his way out.

Mr Drake-Brockman’s solicitor Liesel Rogan said if granted bail her client could be put on strict conditions with a curfew as his alleged offending seemed to occur at night.

Magistrate Rod Madsen denied Mr Drake-Brockman bail and said the risk of him reoffending was too high.

He will be due to appear again on June 22, 2022.
