The glamping tent phenomenon will soon reach the Granite Belt, with Southern Downs Regional Council approving a new short-term accommodation site at Cottonvale.
If the possibility of camping in style on the Granite Belt wasn’t exciting enough, the site is also set to feature a treehouse style cabin, as well as a three glamping tents.
Proposed by Sunshine Coast based developers Adapt Planning, the sites are set to be built on more than 28ha of land, leaving no need for concern about lack of privacy with each site proposed quite a distance away from one another.
In true ‘glamping’ style, each site will feature a flushable toilet which is a plus for any keen camper who is wanting to avoid the dreaded long drop.
In total, the site will accommodate a maximum of eight guests at any one time.
With the proposed development approved this week by Southern Downs Regional Council, it’s uncertain as to when construction will begin.
Warwick Daily News reached out to Adapt Planning for comment, who declined to speak about the development on behalf of their client.
