A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the May 16 blaze started on a couch under the back porch of the house.

Timo and Melanie Kent came home to find their house fully alight and emergency crews battling the blaze.

They lost everything in the fire, able to salvage only a few photos from a photo album.

Police investigations into how exactly the couch caught alight are ongoing, but Queensland Fire and Emergency Services investigations have concluded.
