Police investigating string offences, including attempted robbery at Goondiwindi
Police are on the hunt for the offenders who targeted multiple homes and businesses overnight, assaulting one person and setting fire to a stolen vehicle.

Police are investigating a string of offences in the Goondiwindi region that left one person with leg and head injuries.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said a group of offenders crossed into Queensland in a stolen NSW vehicle and attempted to enter a vehicle that was parked at Goondiwindi address.
They were interrupted by the occupant and an altercation ensued.
The occupant suffered minor injuries to his head and knee.
“Similar incidents occurred at properties within the vicinity of Sandhurst St, Phar Lap Court and Herbert St,” the spokeswoman said.
Police attempted to intercept the vehicle but fled into NSW around 3.40am.
At about 4.35am the Boggabilla Rural Fire Brigade was called to Merriwa St where they located the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
The vehicle and a motorbike were destroyed in the blaze.
Investigations are continuing.
