Two cars pulled from flood water on Tingoora Chelmsford Road

Emergency crews were called to Tingoora after two cars became trapped as floodwaters blocked the Bunya Highway.

Four people had to be rescued after they became trapped in flood waters in Tingoora.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency services spokeswoman said five crews, including a swift water trailer, rushed to the scene on Main Street just past 7pm on Friday night.

The spokeswoman said there was concern about fast flowing water on Tingoora Chelmsford Road.

Police and paramedics also attended.

The Queensland Ambulance Service reported that two people were assessed by paramedics, however no one required transport to hospital.

Flash flooding in Dingo Creek at Wondai closed stretches of the Bunya Highway until nearly midnight.

The Highway was reopened at Tingoora at about 10.30pm and at Murgon just past 11pm.
