SOUTH Burnett Regional Council and Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council projects have been shortlisted for funding in the third round of the State Government's Building our Regions program.

Minister for State Development Anthony Lynham said it was good to see Cherbourg had a shortlisted project, out of a total of 127 projects shortlisted across the state.

"It is pleasing to see the third stage of the Cherbourg Material Recovery Facility had been shortlisted," Dr Lynham said.

"Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council is seeking $489,000 from Building our Regions.

"Detailed applications will open shortly and all councils will have to demonstrate compelling reasons for their projects to gain funding."

The Blackbuttt Town Hall redevelopment is also in the running for funding through the Building our Regions program.

The State Government has allocated $150 million to 93 critical infrastructure projects through the program, supporting almost 1300 jobs.

The funded projects will be announced in mid-2017.
